AMERICAN STEREOSCOPIC COMPANY
The American Stereoscopic Company
operated from about 1895 to 1907 in New
York. A catalog was published around 1901 with about
1500 titles, including 32 Philippine subjects. The views were sold for $2 per
dozen. All Philippine views are copyrighted by R. Y.
Young, who may have been one of the managers of the company. The views are
unnumbered and catalog numbers are provided by the author with the prefix A.
They are printed on tan or dark gray mount. Some of the views were also
produced in tissue transparency format, which could be viewed against a source
of light. The American Stereoscopic Company was the only producer of tissues stereoviews on the Philippines
